Cheat sheet
The whole solve on one screen. Keep it next to your cube, and if you forget something, tap the step.
-
1. White cross
The daisy on top, then each petal down over its own centre.
-
2. White corners
The corner above its place, at the top front right. Repeat the formula: white right once, up 3 times, towards you 5.
R U R' U' -
3. Middle layer
An edge with no yellow over its centre, facing you. The top colour, right or left, picks the formula.
U R U' R' U' F' U FU' L' U L U F U' F' -
4. Yellow cross
Look at the top edges: a dot, an L at the back and left, a line from left to right. Do the formula until you have a cross.
F R U R' U' F' -
5. Yellow face
Count the yellow corners on top. One: hold it at the front left. None: the front-left corner has yellow on its left. Two: facing you.
R U R' U R U2 R' -
6. Corners into place
Look for headlights: two corners of one colour on one side. Hold them on the left and do the formula. No headlights: do it from any side.
R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F' -
7. Edges into place
Hold the complete side at the back. Do the formula, and again if needed. No complete side: do it from any side.
R U' R U R U R U' R' U' R2
The whole solve in 3D
A random cube is solved by the same rules as in the lessons. You can tap through it one move at a time and see which step and which case is going on.
How to remember it without the sheet
- Solve the cube a few times with the page open. The formulas start to stick by themselves, there is no need to study them.
- Then hide one step at a time, starting from the first. The R U R' U' repeats and the middle layer stick fastest, and the longest formula is in step 6: learn it in its three pieces.
- Slow without pauses beats fast with mistakes. 15-20 minutes a day is enough. Speed comes by itself.
