Where to start
The cube is solved layer by layer in 7 steps. You need 7 short formulas, and there is no need to learn them all at once: each step builds on the one before.

What the cube is made of
You solve pieces, not stickers: a piece moves with all its colours together. There are three kinds.
Centres
6 of them, one colour each. They never swap, so a centre's colour is the colour of its whole face.
Edges
12 of them, two colours each.
Corners
8 of them, three colours each.
How to read formulas
A formula is a list of face turns. Each letter names a face. Tap a letter to see how it turns.

The yellow centre stays on top for the whole solve, white on the bottom. Opposite each other are white and yellow, green and blue, red and orange. While a formula runs, the cube does not turn in your hands: only the faces turn.
